Elke Babiuk

I have been a licensed REALTOR® since 2003 and have lived in Calgary for most of my life. I love Calgary and found my niche helping people make their homes in our vibrant city. Everything your family needs is within an hour: it’s phenomenally located and absolutely beautiful. We’re close to Mountains, Rivers, Banff, Canmore, Sylvan Lake and a whole lot more.

My past work experience includes working in the oil patch as a Seismic Data Processing Analyst and as a Geophysical Software Developer’s Assistant. During the all too brief period of being a stay-at-home mom, I was actively involved in volunteer work in complementary health care and environmental issues and volunteered for many years as the Executive Director of “Health Action Network Society” (founded in B.C.), Alberta Chapter. As a Director for the former “Alberta Society for Environmental Housing and Health” Charity, I also did a fair amount of research on “Sick Building Syndrome”, and on behalf of the Society spent a week visiting the world-renown Dallas Environmental Health Center. I also worked as a Desktop-Publishing Manager for a small Scientific Journal for about 5 years, and created and maintained the Journal’s Website.

With the extensive Internet experience I gained as a volunteer, I am now our team’s resident Internet Guru and built www.CalgaryRealEstateLink.com to be user friendly, while providing extensive information to buyers and sellers. I love working in a talented team environment with the best set of skills and credentials to better serve clients, including access to all that CIR Realty has to offer her clients . It’s about giving maximum exposure and information to everybody, whether they’re buying or selling.

Michelle is living proof of just how well our team works. That’s because before she was a team REALTOR®, she was a client. Michelle called me one day saying she wanted a place that wasn’t on the 24th floor and that had a double sink. Apparently, her Husband (A Chef by trade) used every pot in the house when he cooked. I laughed and remember thinking that I wanted to get to know Michelle better – that’s how it all started and we have been friends ever since!

Michelle is our Team’s Client Care Specialist who makes sure your home-buying/selling experience is second to none. Most of her career was spent in the Service Industry from organizing functions, running a restaurant and cooking both here in Alberta and in Ontario. Her love for people and culture, attracted her to travel to various parts of the world and as a result of her experiences abroad, the knowledge she gained is a tremendous benefit to our clients who are relocating to our beautiful city and country.

Her people skills, great organization and entrepreneurial mind set is what brought her to work with our team – Selling Calgary Group. After working with me for 2 years, Michelle decided to obtain her REALTOR’s License so that she could further assist clients with any real estate questions or concerns they may have.

Michelle now has a home of her own in South Calgary and loves helping people to find their perfect home: “I love seeing people’s excitement,” she says. “We’re helping to find them a home where they’re going to make memories.”
